If You Have ANY Dyslexia Symptoms, You Should Take a Free Dyslexia Test!

Dyslexia is a relatively frequent neurological condition that primarily affects the dyslexic person’s ability to read. It is a learning difference that, when it is diagnosed, can be dealt with effectively and the apparent difficulties overcome. While we cannot make the dyslexia symptoms go away, there are effective methods for treating the symptoms of dyslexia.

Approximately According to statistics about 10% of the total population has dyslexia of some type and to some extent.

Elementary School students are now routinely screened for dyslexia symptoms. However, most of what we have learned about dyslexia has come in the last 15-25 years. That means that most of those of us who graduated from elementary school more than about 15 years ago have never been screened or tested.

As a result, there are millions of adult dyslexics out there. 95% of these do not know that dyslexia is the root cause of their problems with reading and manipulating the symbols used for words and numbers. They all desperately need dyslexia testing, but they don’t know it, and without testing, we don’t know who they are…

Before we began to understand dyslexia, our educational systems made life very difficult for dyslexic students. They were unjustly stigmatized as “slow learners” or “underachievers”. Dyslexics are not stupid, not mentally impaired. They just see things differently and learn things differently from non-dyslexics.

Most were embarrassed their problems and tried to hide them. Most developed effective and sometimes elaborate defense mechanisms, like avoiding any situation or job or activity that might require that they read something or be required to read aloud. These defense mechanisms are still mostly in place. That makes adult dyslexics difficult to find.

If these people could be found now and encouraged to take a free dyslexia test for screening, their dyslexia symptoms could be found. If sufficient dyslexia symptoms were present, they could be encouraged to go for a full scale, professional testing.

Today such testing is relatively cheap and fast. Anybody can take a home dyslexia test, online, at home or anywhere they could find an Internet connection.

Once diagnosed they could be helped to overcome their dyslexic problems and lead normal, more fulfilling lives.
